Job Description
Hardware Engineer/Technician, £30k - £40k, Southampton
Due to recent contractual wins, our Southampton based client are now recruiting for a talented Hardware Design Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out the design and development of their electronic hardware.
Main duties will include detailed circuit implementation of electronic hardware in accordance with module requirements, to create innovative and reliable hardware solutions and design, simulation, prototype and evaluation of new and evolving technical solutions.
The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree, ie Electronics, with a proven background of design, build, test and repair of Surface-mount technology (SMT) Printed Circuit boards (PCB) and general circuitry. This role also requires considerable experience, practical skills and an aptitude in mechanical, firmware and electrical aspects. The successful candidate would have the opportunity for some international travel to their offices in the USA.
Salary is circa £30,000 - £40,000 Dependent on skills and experience. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly professional team in a rapidly changing environment, where commitment to quality and meeting deadlines is paramount.
