Job Description
Sales Manager - £40k - Hampshire
This EW specialist, with International coverage are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with Defence knowledge to further develop their market sector. The company has a good reputation in their field and they are keen to strengthen their position.
Key Objectives include:-
To successfully support the Head of Sales and Marketing through securing sales orders from target regions and customer base.
Further develop the market sector by developing strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Closely understand the customer requirements and accurately communicate them to the Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Tenaciously promote and sell company products and services to customers in regions/domains agreed with the Head of Sales & Marketing.
- Meet an annual target sales budget agreed with the Head of Sales & Marketing.
- To participate in the marketing and selling functions within the market sector and to manage the company\'s representatives in the Sales Manager\'s regions.
- Be responsible for the day-to day management of identified Key Accounts and to develop strong relationships with Key Account Customers.
- To be responsible for the continued development/improvement of the company portfolio of products, in support of the Head of Sales and Marketing.
- Provide technical product support for exhibitions, demonstrations and equipment trials.
- To be the interface between the customer and the Engineering and Programming teams for the Sales Manager\'s accounts.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Technical HNC level qualification Electronic engineering background
Ability to secure a UK Defence Security Clearance.
Proven sales experience within defence industry
Knowledge and Skills Proven sales experience -
Able to demonstrate through previous achievements Key account management New business development-find new customers and establish new key accounts
An understanding of defence related technology, electronic warfare and electro-optic and RF technology
Personal Qualities
Able to work unsupervised & use initiative Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners
Extensive travel required worldwide
