Job Description

We are one of the UK’s leading quality furniture makers and retailers with locations across the UK, We are a family run business established in 1926 and are still growing with exciting plans for the future such as our expanding kitchen business.

We are looking for someone with a great personality to approach and build relationships with our customers as a Concession Manager in Leekes Department Store in Melksham.

Melksham, Wiltshire - Commutable from Bath, Chippenham, Bradford-on-avon, Trowbridge, Devizes, Corsham

You will be motivating and leading talented retail /sales people for our bedrooms and offices concession so must have experience of managing and developing a team within a one to one sales and service environment.

With your proactive, friendly nature, you’ll be very comfortable demonstrating how our top quality bedrooms and furniture can help create the customer’s dream home. Your focus will be on working with your team to get leads for our sales designers to visit customers in their homes and call them to follow up their interest. You’ll also be responsible for keeping the studio looking tip top – a great place to work in and visit. In doing this you will be working to the budgets and targets set as an accountable manager.

Well presented and articulate, you will be a natural people person, so excellent communication skills are a must.  You’ll enjoy a comprehensive induction and regular training days on different subjects to help you develop your skills in a range of areas.

A customer service background is essential for these roles, ideally within the retail industry. Your ability to deal with people face-to-face and over the phone is key. Smart and personable, it’s important that you can be credible with a wide range of customers and understand their lifestyle requirements. Because we’re a 7 day a week retail business, there’ll be some weekend and bank holiday working and you’ll need to be flexible about working hours. From time to time, you may also be asked to cover other local stores and you will be reimbursed for this extra travel.

Ideally you will be working as a sales assistant, sales consultant, sales executive, instore demonstrator, kitchen consultant, bathroom consultant for a one to one sales and service focused brand.

This is a 36 hour contract paying £7.00 per hour + excellent commission
